Wesak Day is considered to be very important for Buddhists around the world. On Wesak Day, Buddhists all over the world celebrate events of significance to Buddhists of all traditions: Wesak eve ( Thursday ) 23 May 2013 Wesak Day 2013 Procesession in Melaka Time : 7.00pm until might night Organizer : SKE Temple / State Gov of Melaka .The event saw the participation of about 2,000 people from various Buddhist societies and schools in Malacca. Joining the procession were 40 elaborately decorated and brightly lit floats. The procession started at the Seck Kia Eenh Temple in Gajah Berang and passed through several roads including Jalan Tun Ali, Jalan Kota Laksamana and Jalan Tengkera. School bands, kindergarten students, dragon and lion dance troupes and devotees young and old took part in the procession. The birth, enlightenment and the passing away of Gautama Buddha. Celebrations and grand processions are also held here in most parts of Malaysia.-Lim
